Mrvan Runs from Inflation and Gas Prices

In a wide-ranging NPR interview, Mrvan doesn’t mention inflation or gas prices at all.

Crown Point, IN – Today, the Committee to Elect Jennifer-Ruth Green released the following statement responding to Rep. Frank Mrvan’s recent interview with NPR where he failed to address any of the pressing economic problems squeezing families across The Region:

“Aside from trying to take credit for the work of his predecessor and Indiana’s senators, and patting himself on the back for the basic responsibilities he is expected to address as First District Congressman, Frank Mrvan’s recent interview with Lakeshore Public Radio made it clear that he has gone to Washington and completely lost touch. Not once during the interview did Mrvan address spiraling inflation, soaring gas prices, outrageous grocery prices or other economic hardships caused by the Biden administration policies he has voted for 100 percent of the time,” said Green’s Communications Director, Kevin Hansberger.

“From trillions in reckless spending to shutting down domestic energy production to Green New Deal regulations to higher taxes, Rep. Frank Mrvan has put Biden’s far-left, socialist agenda before the hardworking people of northwest Indiana. As Hoosiers prepare to celebrate Independence Day, the increased prices they will pay to celebrate should serve as a stark reminder of the failures Mrvan tries to ignore,” Hansberger added.
