CONGRESSMAN LARRY BUCSHON, IN-08, ENDORSES JENNIFER-RUTH GREEN FOR CONGRESS

CROWN POINT, INDIANA – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) has endorsed Jennifer-Ruth Green, Republican candidate for Indiana’s First Congressional District.

“Jennifer-Ruth Green shares the commonsense conservative values of faith, family, and freedom that I have championed throughout my time in Congress,” Bucshon said. “As a military leader and the founder of a non-profit, Jennifer-Ruth has proven her commitment to her community and her ability to tackle the problems facing our country head-on. She is exactly the partner our delegation needs representing Northwest Indiana in Congress.”

First elected in 2010, Bucshon represents Southwest and West Central Indiana and is the most senior member and Dean of the Indiana Republican Congressional Delegation. Bucshon joins his colleague, Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03), in endorsing Green, a first-time candidate who has already caught the attention of House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik’s E-PAC and earned her a spot on the “Women to Watch” list for 2022. Green was also featured as one of eight Republican African-American “Up-and-Comers to watch” by Newsmax Magazine.

“I’m grateful for the support of Representative Bucshon as I seek to represent Northwest Indiana in Congress,” Green said. “He has been a champion for what unites us as Hoosiers from all corners of the state and I look forward to the opportunity to serve along aside of him.”

Green, 39, is a Crown Point resident, a combat veteran, and the founder of MissionAero Pipeline, a non-profit reaching at-risk youth that seeks to transform lives, inspire STEM careers, and set students on a path of learning and service in the aerospace industry. Green continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indiana Air National Guard. She is the commander (Chief Information Officer) of the 122d Communications Flight and is the first African-American, or Asian- American, woman selected to serve in this position in the history of the Fighter Wing.
