THANK YOU
NORTHWEST INDIANA
11/9/2022
Thank You
My Friends,
Last night is the beginning, not the end.
When we got in this race in July of 2021, no one believed in us. Indiana’s First Congressional District last elected a Republican in 1928! Nearly 100 years! After 18 months campaigning, no one is doubting us now.
We came within 5 points. That is incredible in this district. And only possible because of all of you.
I called Congressman Mrvan last night to concede, I accept the verdict of the voters, and I trust this part of God’s plan.
I am grateful to have had this opportunity – above all because of the amazing people I’ve met in this process. It’s only strengthened my belief in America, and the greatness of our country that is found in our people. We all know that Hoosiers, and all Americans, deserve better, and we must keep fighting for them.
Nothing worth doing is ever easy, and changing a district that has voted one way for nearly a century doesn’t happen overnight.
In 1976, President Reagan lost the Republican nomination for President. On the plane back to California after the convention, he told aides, “We dream. We fought. And the dream is still with us.”
And it started last night. We need to put a check on the failed policies of the Biden administration that have hurt our country so badly.
In two years, we will have another chance to build on last night’s success and flip this district.
And maybe in the process, we’ve sent a message to Congressman Mrvan, and those like him, that he needs to represent us, not Nancy Pelosi.
The days of Republicans NOT contesting this seat are OVER. The people of Northwest Indiana are good hardworking people who want to go to work, provide for their families, and leave a better life for the children than the one they have. They deserve better.
Thank you again. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate everything you have done for me, your prayers and your support.
God Bless you, and God Bless America.
Sincerely,
Jennifer-Ruth Green
